Ghost Ridin' the Whip- even Grandma's can do it.
Here is the Urban Dictionary term: the act of putting ones ride in neutral, opening all doors, placing the volume dial on 10, and simply rollin'. One can actually take the process up a notch and actually exit his/her ride. Once outside, one can dance and flow to the beat.
This is a short video to demonstrate:
Some Lyrics for you:
when you get a new car [ uh huh uh huh ]
and ya feeling like a star [ ok ok ]
what you gon do [ what cha gon do, what cha gon do ]
GHOST RIDE IT
ghost ride cha whip
[Verse 2]
pull up hop out, all in one motion
dancing on the hood, while the car still rollin'
stuntin', shinin', flamboostin'
on one high, off that potion
windows downnn, feet out of it
damn that boy high, he out of it
thizzin' t grettin, and gridin
ice in his mouf, you know he big timin'
chevys, buicks, regals, and ribbys tho
first i seen ghost ride, was critty bo
goin' dumb, party like ditty do
mistah fab im the prince of the city hoe
ghost ride, ghost ride
get out the way, let casper drive
ghost ride, go crazy
who bay drivin? Patrick swayze!
So, we're Ghost Ridin' it AS.AP.
I'm counting down the daze until I can see my doctor. My jaw hurt all the way up my cheekbones today. NOT fun.
We did have a fun evening, although the BLM embarrassed the SHIT out of me. We went to her girlfriend's birthday party. Mom of the birthday girl asked me if I would paint nails. Of course, I love to paint nails and I'm always adding glittery bling bling to my collection!
I was painting nails and I heard a report that BLM was crying because there was nothing she wanted to do. LAWD... My KID!!!! There was nail painting, bracelet making, rock band, basketball, coloring, riding bikes (big indoor church gym). I wanted to melt into my chair, but some sweet momma went and got her going again and she was fine. Dude. Way to make the birthday girl feel special. I want to talk to her about it tomorrow, she needs to know that she could have made the birthday girl feel really bad about her special party. I can't do it to her tonight, I don't want her thinking I'm mad at her (she's very tender, so I have to approach things JUST the right way or I could really wound her spirit). But she need to know that saying those things are hurtful.
Other than that one thing, this evening was fun. I deserved it, too, because I worked my hiney off at work. I slept like crap last night with a toddler on top of me on the couch. I put the toddler back in the bed and she found me again. I put her on the cushy ottoman beside me, and she still ended up on top of me. I was an hour and a half late to work, and my pipes were frozen.
I need a nap tomorrow FOR SURE.

Video Production
So here she is, in my driveway. My new whip. Yeah, it's not an Escalade or a Benz or anything else those kids on My Super Sweet Sixteen get. But it's mine and I love it.

As soon as the weather gets warmer than, say, 50... we're going to Ghost Ride the Whip. We have to practice our moves. Hopefully we have enough time to get our wardrobe picked out and
LEARN how to Ghost Ride It.
I went to Super Target today. I was looking for some funky tights for LLM as well as some leg warmers. The whole tights aisle was bare. There were NO leg warmers. For the record, LLM was angry with me today because she had to wear *gasp* pants. It was a whole 23 degrees here. No, they don't go play outside, but I can't let her wear dresses in this frigid weather. Instead I found some other cute things for both girls and purchased some Twinkies.
My jaw has been acting up again, so I'm going back to the doctor next week. Give me some Percs and the Jaw Spa, please! The Jaw Spa is a nice treatment with an ultrasound machine. It feels GREAT.
I also see the crazy doctor again next week. I'll be sure to share the awful story of the terrible experience that left me running for the door in tears. In the meantime, I'll know that the cure for depression is purchasing a new ride.

Work/Life Balance
Number 1, I had a beer when I got home from work (no kids here, don't judge me). I also had a shot (ok 2) of Malibu Mango Rum. Again, I'm solo- so if you are judging me stop right there.
It is going to be really cold here tomorrow, and I'm going to share my outlook on when it is acceptable to go to work and when you should stay home. This may have been covered before, but it is worth a refresher.
1) No work on Monday. Everything sucks on Monday and you might as well just stay home.
2) Tuesday, go to work and be productive.
3) Wednesday, go to work and be productive.
4) Thursday, very close to the weekend so go to work and get as much done as you can.
5) Friday, this is another day that we should just go ahead and start our weekend. Who does stuff on Friday? I try to, but often it does not work out.
When you consider all of this, your Tuesday becomes your Monday. All we need is another Monday, so Tuesday- off work. Wednesday- get all of your work done. Thursday becomes your Friday so you might as well just take off because Thursday is your Friday.
The only appropriate work day would be Wednesday. Working on Wednesday is just fine.
But there is a caveat. If it is too cold out side- no working. Raining- it's just better to keep your ass inside. Maybe it's too windy. Everyone hates wind. Stay inside. If it's too nice outside- get outside and enjoy it, especially if it is spring, summer, fall, or winter.
I made that up myself, so don't go pawning that off as your own work/life balance. Be sure to give me full credit. My name is Holly. I have no love for the winter months. My hair is short and brown right now and I just ate a taco salad without the taco and the salad.

I Really Like
Three year olds in footy PJ's. I sure think they are so cute, especially when they have long blonde hair that's sorta curly. It sure isn't all that cute when it comes and gets in my bed. Last night there were 4 of us in bed, plus a cat. DDL made his escape and slept on the sofa. I wasn't as smart and was kicked around for a few hours in about 3 inches of space.
Not tonight. I'm going to bed early, so at least there will be a few hours of solo bed time. If a kid comes to get in my bed, I'm going to say NO. That's a lie. The kid will probably get in bed with me, but if it starts kicking.... I'm leaving. It will probably chase me down and I'll end up with it on the couch on top of me. I'll be having dreams that I'm stuffed in a coffin (seriously, it has happened before).
The new car has a cozy place in the garage. I'm going to be wiping around on it a lot, making sure the tires are shiny and the inside is clean. I doubt I pick rocks out of the tread, I just don't have that kind of time, but I love it so much that if I did have that kind of time I might pick rocks out of the tread. It smells soooooo good. I love the MP3 player.
Work is starting to pick back up. By 3pm today I was hurtin' for my nap. I'm going to have to get some of that 5 hour energy crap or some red bull or some shit. Maybe I should ask BLM's teacher what kind of crack they give to her because she always seems so full of life after school.
Yes, it is 8-something. It's cold (and I have decided that if there is a hell, then hell is cold) and it's going to be colder tomorrow. Beans and cornbread are for dinner, we have a fireplace, and hopefully not much going on.

It's a....
A 2010 Chevrolet Traverse is coming to live at our house tomorrow! The color is called Gold Mist. It's awesome because it seats 7, has a OnStar, XM, and a rear back up camera. I'm going to get the front windows tinted to match the back, and eventually a luggage rack for the top.
Took me two whole pictures to photo all of the gifts! Mimi and Papa were with us, so this is their gifting as well. We even had a white Christmas. I never appreciate it (I hate it, in fact). But I was happy for the girls that it did snow on Christmas.
Santa brought almost everything that was asked for, and my mom and I cooked breakfast for the family.

Now we have to start working on vanity plates. I think we can have 7 letters.
We had a Merry Christmas. The girls had a great time opening everything on Christmas Eve.

I've been OK, not OK, OK again, and then not OK. I believe I need to ask for an additional medication or a dose uppage. Or maybe it's the weather and I need to get in the tanning bed more.
Last night was NYE and I was in bed by 10. I had a migraine, and my medication made me loopy and groggy and incapable of hanging out. I was also feeling very hermit like (sadly normal for me these days).
