Number 1, I had a beer when I got home from work (no kids here, don't judge me). I also had a shot (ok 2) of Malibu Mango Rum. Again, I'm solo- so if you are judging me stop right there.
It is going to be really cold here tomorrow, and I'm going to share my outlook on when it is acceptable to go to work and when you should stay home. This may have been covered before, but it is worth a refresher.
1) No work on Monday. Everything sucks on Monday and you might as well just stay home.
2) Tuesday, go to work and be productive.
3) Wednesday, go to work and be productive.
4) Thursday, very close to the weekend so go to work and get as much done as you can.
5) Friday, this is another day that we should just go ahead and start our weekend. Who does stuff on Friday? I try to, but often it does not work out.
When you consider all of this, your Tuesday becomes your Monday. All we need is another Monday, so Tuesday- off work. Wednesday- get all of your work done. Thursday becomes your Friday so you might as well just take off because Thursday is your Friday.
The only appropriate work day would be Wednesday. Working on Wednesday is just fine.
But there is a caveat. If it is too cold out side- no working. Raining- it's just better to keep your ass inside. Maybe it's too windy. Everyone hates wind. Stay inside. If it's too nice outside- get outside and enjoy it, especially if it is spring, summer, fall, or winter.
I made that up myself, so don't go pawning that off as your own work/life balance. Be sure to give me full credit. My name is Holly. I have no love for the winter months. My hair is short and brown right now and I just ate a taco salad without the taco and the salad.

I like your plan. I'll talk to the boss (aka the baby) as soon as she wakes up.
your words of wisdom bless us all my friend! Thank you for sharing, I will present this to the powers that be! OR maybe you and your microphone could come in for a presentation?? YES!
LMAO...a Mamalicious classic, for sure.
I love your work plan! I wish I could actually do that! :)
Ha Ha! Love it!
This is an incredibly awesome plan!
Holly, I must add onet hig to your work philosphy-
January is a month in which every day feels like a Monday- so EFF that, take January off!
I love your plan!
Sounds like a great plan to me!!!
So= Lori, what did the boss say?
Shannon= do I need to bring my own microphone??
Lipstick= glad you like!
Melissa= I can come pitch the plan to your group, too.
Brandie= You love it? What is the best part? That we don't really work except for on Wednesday? Or that our weekend is 6 days?
ElleBee= Let's get started!
FFC= Since we're skipping January altogether, let's just skip to May. Everything sucks Jan-May. April is semi-decent.
Cara- where do you stand on NOT performing ANY work duties until May? That includes employers AND those that SAH.
Christy- We need to find some "interns" for you.
