Secret Secret I've Got a Secret

SHHHHH don't you tell!

We are making it a surprise for the LM's! They have a poem (written by my Mother in Law) that will arrive in the mail.

Magical things can happen
When little girls are sweet
When they do their chores
And get along and keep their
rooms all neat

Princess Dollars you will earn
For doing what you should
You will see that it really pays
When little girls are good

So mind your manners and be nice
Being sweet is worth the price
You'll get a special surprise for doing well
From your favorite princesses
Aurora and Belle

They have to be good to earn $$'s to spend on Disney Stuff or else we will come home with a suitcase full of STUFF (CRAP).

The Aurora and Belle will be sending costumes to the hotel for the Bibbidi Bobbiti Boutique. They will also be sending personalized coordinating shirts and outfits to the house, as well as a other treats for getting out of bed on time, going to bed on time, and having Princess-Like behavior!

I don't plan to tell them until we arrive at the airport at Dallas Love. We will tell them we are going to the Great Wolf Lodge until we pull up at the airport.

Ouch for Monday

It arrived with a headache. I took Ibuprofin at 3:30am. LLM kicked and talked and wanted me in her bed. I obliged her but had to draw the line at the midnight kitchen requests. No can do little chickadee.

The head hurt. I went to the chiro for an adjustment and accupuncture; not work. I went home and had to go to bed. Felt great when I wake up. I can't miss 1-2 days of work per week. That's for crap.

There is rain in the forecast and that makes me nuts. I just want to relax in the pool in the evenings!

I have a menu plan for the week. This is bold for me!

Tonight: pancakes, bacon, milk (such a hit)
Tomorrow: roast, taters, carrots, shrooms, bread
Wednesday: BBQ sands left over
Thursday: perhaps beans, cornbread, okra, iced tea
Friday: frozen pizza

These are subject to change, but the thought is a good one!

Can You Smell It?

My house is clean, it is quiet, and there are no little momma's pestering or begging or whining or demanding! I got a little sunburn on my forehead and I have clean sheets, shaved legs, and fresh PJ's. That is the makings of a good night.

The girls and myself swam hard today and soaked up lots of sun. We have been having fun in Mimi and Papa's pool. They finished their deck, it is huge and goes all the way around the pool.

Hopefully tomorrow will bring more sun and pool time. Maybe even some Sunday beers in the afternoon and a nice little beer nap.

I can't wait!

Bebbie

Beverly had her girl surgery today. DDL took her in. I called and checked on her this afternoon and she's fine. I'm sad she has to spend the night. She probably thinks she's going to have to live there forever. Dogs don't know if you are ever coming back to get them after they go to that stinky vet place.

She's also got a bit of a limp from playing too hard. Or growing pains. I figure it is option Number One because she is wild ass.

I have made up my mind. I'm leaving Okla By God Homa to take up residence where there is white sand, clear water, and all inclusive housing. This is realistic, yes?

The Fourth of July

The Fourth of July is on my list of favorite holidaze. I don't like winter holidaze. They are cold and the weather sucks and it just depresses me. Summer holidaze are my Christmas! Three of them, each to celebrate the USA and think about the brave men & women who have served and are serving our country. And beer- there is beer and sun and lake and good food and friends.

Not so much this year. There was a bit o sun and the day started out great! The girls and I swam, then went to the fireworks stand (which I have not been to in more than 10 years) and purchased snakes, smoke bombs, big ass sparklers, and best of all- chicken butts. You know- you light them and colored eggs come out of their butts. Just the phrase 'chicken butt' sort of makes me giggle inside.

After that, we came home for a rest/nap because we knew we were going to be up late for the fireworks at the park. We went to Mimi's for our cook out, and all of the sudden had to bring it inside because nature decided to have her own fireworks.

It came a big 'en (that's what we call a big thunderstorm). I love thunderstorms, but I was hoping it would pass through by fireworks time. It did not. I was hopeful that they would reschedule for tonight but......

I woke up to rain and thunder. Hopefully it will pass through and the sun will come out and it will be so steamy we can't breathe. THAT's the July I know!

The dogs are depressed. Daisy has been with us for 3 days and she misses her parents (my parents). She won't eat. She knows something is up (they moved).

In the meantime, I'm going to scrub this house and do the massive amount of laundry that has piled up over the week. Maybe, just maybe---- there will be a nap involved if the rain sticks in!

The Toe

I believe she's broken. She hurts like a sunuvubitch.

While helping Mimi and Papa move today, I decided to take a swim in the pool. My LM's were in the water and I wanted to impress them with my cannonball skills.

I did achieve a fairly decent cannonball, but I landed on this toe. I wasn't mindful of the fact that the pool is not deep enough for adult cannonballing.

Just add this to my list of injuries and ailments (Helen is still kickin' it on my lip). I've had Daria, daily headaches, and a host of anxiety issues that we won't even go into.

OH HELEN

You stupid herpes simplex 10. Why did you jump up on my lip today without warning? I was in the middle of teaching class and BAM you were there.... full blown. No warning tickle, no nothing. I am offended.

This week has been one long headache and jawache.

I'm seeing a craniofacial specialist in July.
