This is called Little Niagara. We could swim to a small part of the falls and the girls thought that was really neat. It was so rocky that I was scared to death one of us would fall and crack our skulls open on a rock.
However, the only accident was when LLM tripped over her foot and bonked her nose on the ice chest. She had a small nose bleed, but she didn't know it. After an ice cube on the nose, she was fine. Had this happened to the BLM, we would have had to have been taken out by Medi-Flight.

Some of my Mexican Money Saving Tips:
Don't book your excursions (snorkel, dolphin swim, parasail) through the agents at the hotel. Book before you go online, or go right to the beach to get a better deal. It is the same company!
For example, our dolphin swim was booked online for $98 for 2 people. At the hotel, it was $130 per person. Again- our parasail for 2 people was $110. They wanted $160 at the hotel. Same company. The price difference is the commission for the booking agents.
We took about $150 in $1's for tips. Even though tips are technically included, we tipped our wait staff, bartenders, etc. They work so hard and are smiling non-stop. They make so little money, we just decided to build that into our budget. We also tipped our housekeeper and fridge-stocker $10 for the entire stay.
We had so much fun. I can't believe it has come and gone and I need to start planning and researching another trip so that I don't get the post-vacation depression!

That looks like fun! Love your blog, have read it forever. Just never posted. But i get the heat!! We are in Texas, and it is so freaking hot outside. Unless you are in the water there is no point to venture out of the a/c, which is going to cost a fortune this month :(
But you can't put a price on cold air, they can apparently :)
You are certainly a lady that has it all figured out! I was just skimming by, but I think I'll be back sometime to enjoy.
Hola Muchacha!
You guys look like you had a lot of fun!!
Another tip for booking excursions that I found from my trip to Mexico this weekend. Don't book through the hotel at all, if you can help it. Use a locally operated company, which keeps the money you spend in the local economy. The hotels are typically owned by big foreign corporations, which is where that money goes. So booking through the hotel sends the money directly out of the area.
We found different excursion agencies that had the exact same offerings as the hotel, but cheaper, in a hidden area of our hotel. Then you get to see something cool and feel really good about encouraging to the typically underpaid locals to have their own businesses!
