I Have A Big Girl!

LLM pee pee'd in the potty tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!! First time EVER at home. She did this ON HER OWN without being asked. I was shocked! And so very proud! Maybe this is the start of something?? She'll be 2.5 on the 11th of this month. I have not pushed PTing at all. Maybe she's ready? All I know is that I'm excited!

I had a great first day back at work. It didn't take long for my brain to get back into work mode. I did have a hard time getting the girls stirred around this morning, and I aimed to get them in bed earlier. That didn't so much work out. But, they are in bed now.

My house is quiet, but there are dirty dishes in the sink and clean clothes folded on the couch. I do not have it in me to deal with those matters tonight.

My house also smells of the delightful smell of a pot of beans cooking (boring, warning!) I put some ribs in there as well as a few other types of beans other than pinto beans. I'll add some BBQ sauce to it tomorrow before I serve it. There will be cornbread and perhaps some fried okra.

LOL this is the second blog I read in a row that is dealing with potty training! Good for LLM for wanting to use it all on her own! Hopefully potty training her will be easy and fast!

Go LLM!!!!! You are about to be a diaper free house. Can you imagine the freedom???? I am very jealous.
You are good to not push. Bram did the tee tee at 2 but the poo poo was an issue until the day after his 3rd bday, then he told me "3 year olds dont need to poo in pull ups" and that was it. Crazy. (He wore undies but would put a pull up on to poo. Weird. But it worked for us.)

And the fried okra and corn bread sounds awesome. I did beans yesterday, maybe I will do the same thing tomorrow to make it all new again.

Yay for potty time girl! She's so cute. This could be the start of great things.
Tell me about those beans, send me the recipe...they sound delightful. I might want some right now.

Thanks for da birfday wishes. I'm that number that starts with a 3 and ends with a 1 and I'm just not happy about it but I'm gonna deal with it by doing several tequila shots this weekend.

Yay for potty-time and correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you're invitin' us to some good eatin's at at the Licious household! Since ribs are involved, I'll bring my bib. Sounds delish!

You need to have a PP party! We did it for Winston--when he went to the potty five times he got to have a pp party. We had cake, a few presents and sang happy pp! He loved it!

WOOT! on the pottying!!

After 4 kids, I am SO ready to be done with diapers. My boy will be 2 next month. He's started taking off his diaper, helping wipe, and helping put on the new one. I'm thinking that means it's time.

yay!! I need to start on Tommy soon; he's almost 2! I had no problem with my girl but I have no idea how to potty train a boy!!

Yay, "Bik grel!". That's "big girl" in Guam-speak. Please ask her to tell my 3 year old (next month)where "bik grels" go potty? She refuses to acknowledge that it exists ;)
