I contacted the Director of Community Education and the Director of the Wellness Center that are both responsible for the swim classes. I didn't ask for a refund, but I did tell both women everything that took place in the swim class yesterday and they both thanked me for calling. They said they would make sure to discuss it with the instructor.
All it takes is one second in the water for something bad to happen. I expressed that to both directors that I spoke to. They acted appropriately dismayed, so I'm sure that it won't happen again.
At least nothing bad happened this time.

I'm glad you made the decision to call them. What an awful teacher, and you are right, it takes no time for something bad to happen!
Good for you for calling!! I really hope they make some changes.
kuddos!
Good. They needed to know.
Totally glad you called! Water is nothing to take lightly, you're right it just takes a fraction of a second for something traumatic to happen. What a turd that instructor was.
So glad you called! I can't imagine what she was thinking!
BTW, I'm giving you an award. Go check out my blog in a few. ;)
Thank you for standing up for ALL children! You go, Girl.
Amen to that! From personal experience. I took swimming safety to lightly and almost lost my baby girl.
You go!
good job on calling and reporting!
I hope that instructor realizes her mistakes and won't do that again!!
I too am glad you called. I had quite an incident at work on Wednesday night. Check out my blog if you have a chance.
