For white people, this would be known as Columbus Day!
For Native Americans working for a Native American Tribal Organization that celebrates right along with all Federal Holiday's- this is Piomingo Day. Piomingo was a Chickasaw Warrior. I'm thankful for him. I like the day off.
I like the day off with no children. My house is (fairly) clean. My laundry is (pretty much) done. The children are gone.
I have no plans, and it is great. I lie. I do have plans. I'm going to rotate between the recliner, the couch, and the bed.

Girl. Isn't it fabulous? It's one of two holidays during the year that every other person in my household has to be somewhere.... but not me! I slept until 11 today. Shameful, I know, but I don't care. This is one day that I'm actually okay with being a banker.
WTF?! I don;t have Piomingo or Columbus day off! How sucky :(
