Do you hear that? It is my house. Very quiet. Children = sleeping. DL= working. ML= not asleep and should be. Anxious because I'm not asleep yet. Worried and looking at the clock, because I really should be asleep by now. Why am I not asleep? What is wrong with me??
I was thinkin' about the LM's tonight and their demanding ways. I am fairly certian that DL and I have created such demanding little monsters. But, honestly, they are totally sweet and they make your heart just want to cater to them. They know how to turn on the charm.
For Momma's that have boys that might like my girls in years to come... warn them. These two know what they want. They will not, under any circumstances, be willing to do with less than the standards that we have set forth. This includes (but isn't limited to):
Breakfast in your bed sometimes.
PJ's all day sometimes.
Watching cartoons every morning. Every. Morning.
Lake time.
Snack after bath.
They know what they are doing. I almost feel sorry for a boy who is going to be in love with one of my girls. He's going to have to have serious skills to keep them pleased.
By the way, is 5 (almost 6) years old too old to have an accident? Do not say a word to BLM, but she had a tee tee accident today. Total meltdown city. I wasn't home to deal with it, but DL said she was hysterical. What does that mean? Just that she didn't take the time to tinkle in the morning? Or is something wrong with her.
You know, I have to have SOMETHING to worry about at all times. Tonight I pick: Not Asleep Yet and Tee Tee Accident.

I am sitting here later than you worried that if I don't fall asleep soon as might as well not fall asleep because as soon as I do tomorrow will be here..well techinically it is...but you know what I mean. Anyway...just wanted to comment about BLM...I wouldn't worry too much about the accident...she could have just been too busy playing or something. It happens...but I would just casually ask her if it hurts to "pee-pee" because sometimes accidents can be a sign of a bladder or kidney infection...nothing serious though...totally NOT trying to make you worry...I repeat DON'T WORRY...lol:) Off to try not to worry about my list of things to worry about and get some sleep!
oh good grief...that should say fall asleep soon I might as well...and then technically...(not techinically)see I'm tired!
5 is definitely not too old to have a *tee tee* accident. I was 10 when I had one. *GASP* Did I just admit that on the internetz??? Yup. I did. So give BLM a hug from her *tee tee* sister in crime. ;-)
Darinsmom....aka Ann
Did you not take your sleepy med?
No, its not too old to have an accident... the drama Queen had one a couple months ago, in my car!! And she had one when she was six in Limited Too... guess who got new shorts and panties (I may try that some time)
I wouldn't worry about the accident. My son had 2 or 3 when he was 5. Kids are weird sometimes.
I totally know what you mean. Whoever is lucky enough to get my Princess...he's gonna have to work OVERTIME to keep up with the demands. LOL. I even joke with my husband and say we will probably have to give her an allowance to get her hair and nails did when she gets married. He didn't like that!! LOL
But its sooo much fun spoiling them up REALLL good!!
Don't fret over the TeeTee accident. My 6 year old does it sometimes. She get occupied playing and won't go to the bathroom soon enough and some comes out before she gets to the potty.
Its totally normal.
Pffff. I have those accidents all the time... and I am 33.
Seriously though I don't think it's a big deal at all.
Hope you got some sleep.
I almost came on here last night to blog because I was awake too. I go back to work for the school year (I'm a school counselor) in a week and a half and the children start back in two and a half weeks. I was up worrying about not being so stressed this year...and then stressing because I couldn't sleep. The accident is perfectly normal...my almost 6 year old did it recently too. No worries and happy sleeping tonight!
Just wanted to stop by and say I enjoy reading your blog. I wouldn't worry about the accident either. I think sometimes their little minds just get busy and they forget the necessities.
Oh, it could be one of my boys who falls for one of your girls and that would be just fine! All those things listed sound very practical to me. See in our house--I am the only girl so therefore I am treated like a princess so my boys would handle your girls just fine. They are being trained well:)!!
