They are 10 years old. Maybe even more than that.
They are very flat. There are two of them. They cannot (I repeat, cannot) be replaced. I have looked everywhere for flat feather pillows. They do not exist.
My pillows go everywhere that I go. *side note* If I go on vacation, they stay at home.
I love them. Mimilicious has told me to that they are gross and Oprah said you shouldn't have the same pillow for more than a year. I like my Mom, but I don't give a rats ass what Oprah said. She's never slept on my pillows.
Supposedly, I should be sick and all dying and stuff because of my old pillows. Maybe that's why I have headaches? Maybe that's why I'm crazy? Maybe the mites have gotten to me. I bet bed bugs are to blame for some of my lunacy.
I don't care because I'm buck wild like that.

I have my "lumpy", it is a pillow I have had since 3rd grade. I am now 25. It goes every where with me. It attended the birth of both kids.
I am not an internet stalker I swear. I have just discovered blogging and I am addicted to blogs.
OMG, I had the SAME problem. I had the same flat pillow for, literally, 30+ years. I also could not find a suitable flat replacement. Finally, it even grossed *me* out and I had to toss it a couple years ago.
Hmm, come to think of it, I did suffer for headaches for many of those years and now, not so much..... Then again, I've since developed neck problems (from a damn non-flat pillow)
My mother has the same issues with her pillows(I mean pillohz).
Mamalicious, sometime or another you will have to do a post about the finer points related to Kr8tive spelling. I think you have made it an art.
Oprah can kiss it!
My only pillow issues... I dont have enough.
OH. TOILE... I have it in Diva's room, breakfast room, and bathroom.... getting close to every room...
when I was living with my mom she had the best pillows and when we moved into our own place she gave me the pillows and sheets and comforter.
I was a little insulted...I wonder if she thinks I tainted them or something.
Anyways I will have these pilows forever.
I could go for the pillows that were in my room at the St. Regis (Philbin) in Ft. Lauderdale.
Or the ones on the Enchantment of the Seas. Actually, that was the best sleep ever. I might book another cruise so I can get that sleep again. Shannon- I know that was not the kind of sleep you had on your Fambly Cruise.
Momma
Feather pillows: NOT A FAN. I always get poked in the ear with a loose feather or two.
Im with you and the rest of the gals... long life the "mitey" pillows.
I have had my pillows for as long as I can remember.
And they do go on vacation with me. Mr. Sasha gets all kinds of mad and I tell him to kiss my ass.
You probably do get headaches because of you pillows. My ENT said don't use old pillows or sleep with some stuffed animal you have had for 12 years. I was like, ewww, who would do that? Now I know! You!

I'm all about old mitey pillohz for sure, but more so old mitey pilloh casez. My current pillow is only 5 or so years old, but the only pilloh casez I EVER use is probably closer to ten, it is severally ripped. DH has sewn it together with black thread numerous times. There is more black thread now than case. I fear washing it because it is now see through and very fragile, it may disinegrate (sp) in the washing machine. We hand wash it. DH says it's disgusting and he doesn't really want to sleep in the same bed with 'it' (He calls my pilloh an 'it' because he is so appauled). I need my clean sheets and comforter, but my pilloh and casez are mine. I like to think about the little rhino looking mites that habitat in my pillohz, I'm cool with that.
O.K.
I was thinking about your pillows this weekend (I know, sick. I'm not a stalker, I swear) and I was thinking that YOU COULD FREEZE THEM anytime you go out of town to kill most of the yuckies.
I am brazilliant!
My pillows are older---20 years old to be exact! Before you think I'm all gross and trashy, I will clue you in--take them to the cleaners to be cleaned and restuffed! I haven't done mine in 8 years (okay, GROSS!), but they have been done!! I understand the love of a worn, flat pillow! You can tuck it, roll it squish it, and it smells so damn good!...ahh, pure bliss!
